ia (Indepedent Artists) is a new Rattle sub-label. ia is an initiative intended to support and promote independently produced and financed albums that don't, for a variety of reasons, quite fit within the Rattle framework, but that we nevertheless wish to support.

ia releases will cover a broad range of music, and, like the Rattle catalogue, will feature performers and composers of the very highest standards. Rattle's exacting ear for quality will inform the selection of every ia album.

The first ia release is Phil Broadhurst's Delayed Reaction, an album inspired by(and a tribute to) the life and work of French jazz maestro, Michel Petrucciani. This is Phil's first solo release since The Road Home seven years ago.
